Glenda Hyatt Reed, 77 of Arab, the Ruth Community, died Saturday January 6, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Reed was born January 15, 1940 in Marshall County to Dallas Hyatt and Candis Latham Hyatt. She graduated from Arab High School in 1958, and later worked in Customer Service for Otelco until she retired. Her husband, Clarence Edward Reed preceded her in death July 18, 2005. She lived in the Ruth community all of her life. She enjoyed traveling, collecting ceramics and liked Belgium horses.
She was a member of Ruth Baptist Church.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughter: Robin Lynne Reed and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Edward Reed; her parents: Dallas and Candis Hyatt and her brother: Jerry Hyatt.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Randy L. Blakely, officiating. Burial will be in Mt Oak/Ruth Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Michael Reed, Chastin Reed, Johnny Edmonds, Donnie Knighten, Wayne Hyatt and Marlon Hyatt.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Clark, Dewalt Willis, Bob Reed, Jim Reed, Bruce Weaver and Arthur Saylor.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday January 9, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
