Mary Eliza Dangerfield – Obituary

Mary Eliza Dangerfield quietly departed this life Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Bethany Rehabilitation Center in Nashville. She was born August 22nd, 1922 in Giles County and was 95 years old.

She accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She also attended Agnew grammar school. Mary Eliza Dangerfield was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she also loved helping anyone that was in her path. Whenever you were around her you would often hear her quoting Psalms 23: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”, and she would give you words of encouragement. He saying was “all you do is keep living and you will learn”.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 Friday, January 12th, 2018, at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Visitation will continue from 11:00 to 12:00 Saturday, January 13th, 2018, with the service to follow at 12:00pm. in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
The burial will follow in the Agnew Cemetery in Giles County.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mattie Johnson Clack. Six brothers Edward Allen Clack, William Clack Jr., Buford Freeman Clack, Claude Locke Clack, Archie Eugene Clack, and Albert Lee Clack. Her husband Burns Dangerfield along with her daughter Mary Elizabeth Dangerfield.

She leaves to cherish her memories;
Daughter Dorothy Evans of Atlanta, Georgia.
Daughter Carolyn Dangerfield of Nashville.
Daughter Elaine Reynolds of Pulaski.
Sister-in-Law Mildred Clack of Pulaski.
Step-Daughter Lucile Harney of Pulaski.
Step-Son Frank Harney of Nashville.
Five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mary Eliza Dangerfield.
