Robert Doud officiating. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Mr. Lowe passed away on January 3, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mr. Lowe was born on July 27, 1944 in Norfolk, VA to the late Olga Pearl Wise Lowe and Frederick D. Lowe, Sr. His childhood was spent in many places, but his fondest memories were from Stumpy Point, NC at his Grandmother Bertie Wise’s home whom he considered the closest thing to an angel. Later, many happy years were spent in Miami, FL where he served in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. After twenty-five years, he also retired as a Lieutenant from the Metro-Dade Miami Fire Department. He was a member of the Fire Fighters Union, VFW, American Legion, and Crystal Ridge Community Church. Over forty years ago, he purchased his homestead in Lincoln County, TN while his children were young and later retired there. Crystal Ridge was his chosen home where he found a community of neighbors who became family.

Many people will remember him for his humor, love for his family, talent to do anything he set his mind to, and ability to overcome many medical adversities. He was full of stories including: being struck by lightning, wrestling an alligator, and having a fight with a grizzly bear. (Two of these are actually true; you decide which) He lived his life to the fullest and never let anything slow him down. He was stubborn, loved ice cream, and enjoyed a good “gotcha”.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dotty M. Lowe; daughter, Lisa (Jay) Witt of Fayetteville, TN; son, Frederick D. (Amy) Lowe, III of Mulberry, TN; grandchildren, Alyssia (Andy) Arnold, Donovan Levenhagen, Zander Witt, Maddie Witt, and Colson Witt all of Fayetteville, TN, Frederick D.
