SHEFFIELD-Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray reports a fatal shooting in Sheffield that occurred on Sunday, January 7.
The shooting took place at SE 17th Street at approximately 12:30 PM on Sunday. A 26-year-old Florence man died on route to Helen Keller Hospital from a gunshot wound.
According to Chief Ray three people have been taken into custody and are being held as persons of interest as the investigation progresses.
The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
