Robert Olen Barr, age 90, of Muscle Shoals, formerly of Bear Creek, Alabama, passed away January 4, 2018. He served in the United States Army, retired Service Rep. with Marshall Durbin, drove a School Bus for Phillips High School and drove a road grader for Marion County for many years. He was a member of College View Church of Christ in Florence.
Visitation is Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville. Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Lee Hyatt, Benjamin Phillips and Wayne Phillips officiating. A private burial to follow in Bear Creek Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bishop Barr; children, Rebecca Hester (husband, Eddie), Larry Barr (wife, Sandy); grandchildren, Kelsey Hester and Brittney Hester; sister, Reba Tittle; a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Julie Barr; brothers, Hubert, Paul and Billy; sisters, Willie, Mamie and Sue.
