Michelle James Rye – Obituary

Michelle James Rye, age 49, of Iuka, MS, died Saturday, December 30th, 2017, at her residence.

Michelle was a member of Asphalt Rock Baptist Church. She was employed at Waterway, Inc. where she worked as an administrative assistant. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6th, 2018, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7th, 2018, at Fifth Street Baptist Church. The body will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to service time on Sunday. Services will be officiated by Bro. John Bray and Bro. Tim Pittman. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Daniel Gattis, Buddy James, Scotty James, Tim Rye, Terry Rye, and Tom Watson. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Rye; her mother, Karen James; two sons, Justin Hardwick and Jordan Hardwick; and two daughters, Hannah Hardwick and Katelyn Hardwick, all of Iuka; two step-daughters, Carrington Rye of Northport, AL, and Cagney Rye of Hamilton, AL; three brothers, Jason James, Matthew James, and Nathaniel James, all of Iuka; two sisters, Tracy James of Iuka, and Lauren Gattis of Tishomingo, MS.; and four grandchildren, Kylie Hallmark, Parker Hallmark, Tylan Koehlinger, and Griffin Rye.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Dale James.
