Michael Frank “Mike” James – Obituary

Michael Frank “Mike” James, 59, died Wednesday, January 3, at ECM Hospital, Florence, AL. He was born January 21, 1958 in Red Bay, AL. He worked at Cooper Tire, Tupelo, MS and was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.

Services will be Saturday, January 6, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Bill Harper officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years – Karen James; two children – Malorie Quillen (Michael) Killen, AL and Jesse James, Florence, AL; two grandsons – Trevor Quillen and Zachary Quillen; two brothers – Jesse Phil James and Hayden James (Georgia) and one sister – Katrina Wylie (Danny).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Caroline Bell James.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the doctors and nurses in CTRU at ECM Hospital and to all family and friends who have offered their condolences.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
