Happy New Year’s

Today is January 1st, 2018, New Year’s Day.  Today is the day that people make New Year’s Resolutions.  Some they keep and some they don’t.  Everyone should be thankful that they made it through 2017.  For some 2017 was a good year, for others, 2017 was not so good.  But you know what, it’s a new year and YOU can make it a good year.

If you make a New Year’s Resolution, make sure that it is obtainable.  There is nothing worse than setting a goal that in all fact is unobtainable.  I have made some resolutions for this year.   I started small.  When I achieve them, I will probably make some mid-year resolutions.

More than anything be thankful that you are here.  We lost family, friends, celebrities, and others during 2017.  Let’s take a minute to look around and see what we have, be thankful for that.

Also, continue to pray for the men and women who are overseas fighting for our freedom.  They might not be celebrating New Year’s Day.  They are away from family and friends during this time.  Let’s hope that they make it home safely this year.

So from the Southern Heritage Gun & Pawn Family to you and yours, Happy New Year’s Day.  Be safe and be well.

P.S.  I change my profile pic each year for these articles.  I think I will use the photo that Steve “PeePaw” Wiggins took .
