Two Killed In Weekend Traffic Accident Near Lawrenceburg

Lawrenceburg, TN-On Saturday, December 23, a two-vehicle accident occurred just before 6 p.m. in the New Prospect community resulting in the death of two people and injuries to two others this according to authorities in Lawrenceburg.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Cynthia L. Williams, 52, of Pulaski, Tennessee, and Ladonna L. Cruz, 42, of Tuscumbia, were killed in the crash.  They were both passengers in a 2006 Hyundai SGX driven by Wanda C. Gray, 47, of Savannah, Tennessee.

According to officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Casey E. Hillhouse, 33, of Lawrenceburg, is facing charges after he failed to stop at a stop sign.

Also injured in the crash were the driver of the GMC Truck and a 6-year-old boy who was a passenger in the truck along with Gray who was driving the Hyundai.  The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Reports show that alcohol was a factor in the crash.  Criminal charges are pending and investigation continues according to authorities.
