Aulton Andrew Stewart – Obituary

Funeral service for Aulton Andrew Stewart, 88, will be Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Anthony Patterson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Stewart died on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at Floyd “Tutt” Fann Veterans Home. He was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Lawrence County to Andrew Stewart and Mary Pearl Fuller Stewart. He was self-employed as a mechanic and also worked for UPS. He was a longtime resident of Hartselle and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Wanda Laverne Culbreath, Mary Sharpe Stewart, and Kytha Stewart; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Sharpe, Nashville, Tennessee and Robert S. Stewart, Decatur, Alabama; three daughters, Janice Blankenship, Griffin, Georgia, Deborah Tedder, Arab, Alabama, and Rita Athley, Decatur, Alabama; one brother, Preston Stewart, Trinity, Alabama; one sister, Clara Jenkins, Decatur, Alabama; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Blankenship, Ricky Watwood, Shannon Wilson, Matthew Stewart, Kane Watwood, and James Avery Wilson.
