Roy Frank “Papa” Fisher – Obituary

Roy Frank “Papa” Fisher, 88, passed away on the 9th of December, 2017 at 7:56 a.m. after a brief stay at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, Carlene Fisher; his three beloved daughters, Daphen and husband
Carlos Rodriguez, Becky and husband Larry Russell and Cindy Zozaya; his six grandkids, Mike Moshold-
er and wife Lori, Marc Mosholder and wife Lucy, Dodie Haguewood and wife Michele, Stacey Lucas and
husband Michael, Dustin Zozaya and wife Lisa and Brandon Zozaya; his eight great-grandkids, Izac Mo-
sholder, Travis Haguewood and wife Sarah, Ty Haguewood, Taylor Haguewood, Shane Lucas and wife
Ginny, Caleb Lucas, Wesley Lucas, Hunter Lucas; and great-great-grandaughter, Lauren Lucas.

Mr. Fisher was born on Oct. 12, 1929 in Flomot, Texas to Ernest and Lena Fisher. He was the third born of
four, having one brother and two sisters. Frank was a star athlete, playing football and running track in his school years before graduating from Flomot High School and enlisting in the Navy. He spent time boxing in
the Navy before returning home to run his family farm, after his father became ill.

Mr. Fisher married Carlene Lamb in 1949 and the two settled in El Paso, Texas where they raised their fam-
ily of five. Mr. Fisher served with the Texas DPS where he received the status of Honorary Texas Ranger
before retiring. Mr. Fisher continued on to work at Century Paper, in sales, before he and his wife moved
to the beautiful mountains of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Mr. Fisher spent the last ten years of his life enjoying
time with his wife and family in Hartselle.

Celebration of Life Service will be held , December 12, 2017 at the Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 6 p.m.
