Donna Jean Kirksey Ferge, age 70 of Memphis, formerly of Bolivar, passed from this life December 8, 2017 at Bright Glade Health and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis, Tennessee following a lengthy illness.
She was born Wednesday morning at 1:00 AM, November 5, 1947, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The youngest daughter of the late Estil and Ethel Black Kirksey of Bolivar. Donna enjoyed working with flowers, family holiday gatherings, the outdoors, horses, and for many years riding in the National Field Trials in Grand Junction, Tennessee.
Survivors include her two sons, Loften (Alissa) Ferge and Kirk Ferge of Millington, Tennessee; two brothers, Bobby (Neva) Kirksey of Memphis, and Mike (Katy) Kirksey of Katy, Texas; two sisters, Carolyn Stevens of Kingsport and Marilyn Thomas of Germantown; and several nieces and nephews who hold many fond memories in their hearts of horseback rides, camping with bonfires…a very special Aunt Donna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant brothers, William Black Kirksey and Stephen Wesley Kirksey and two nephews Bob Kirksey, Jr. and Tyler Thomas.
She will be missed by all. The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association at www.alz.org.
