Jerry Lee Johnson, 67 of Huntsville, formerly of Arab, died Monday December 4, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born February 8, 1950 in Georgia to Bill Johnson and Alene Harrison Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in construction as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and garden, he also loved to build things and watch Alabama Football.
He was a member of West Side Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his son: John Stephen “Johnny” Johnson and fiancée Jessica Thompson; a grandchild: Justin Lee Johnson; his sisters: Janet Johnson and Donna Jo Johnson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Alene Johnson; his brother: John Stephen Johnson and a sister: Kathy Diane Johnson.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 6, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Randy L. Blakely, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Jason Watwood, Justin Watwood, Jack Leak, Rick Leak, Jeff Leak and Greg Foster.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
