Tess Elizabeth Elenbaas, our beloved daughter and sister, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 3, 2017.
Tess’s life would seem too short for many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her warm gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her and leave them with the warmth of love. Tess had a very loving and giving heart; never passed judgement, but accepted all.
With Tess’s passing, we remind others that life is meant to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her winning smile and love for others, she will forever remain in our hearts. Through her teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be her parents.
She is survived by her mother, Sara Elenbaas, and fiancé, JR Raines; father, Matt Elenbaas; brother, Reid Elenbaas; sister, Olga Elenbaas; and boyfriend, Michael Short, all of Huntsville, AL.
Grandparents are Clark Elenbaas of Allendale, MI, Bill and Karen Kelder of Hudsonville, MI, Marcia and Peter Everts of Holland, MI, and Ron and Terry Zandbergen of Grandville, MI; and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 6 at Willowbrook Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow with Steve Lacy officiating.
