Charles Ray Roberts – Obituary

Charles Ray Roberts passed away Saturday December 2, 2017 at his residence at the age of 78. Charles was born October 27, 1939 in Maury County to the late Earl Moore Sr. and Margaret Addison Roberts.

He loved God and his family. He loved reading his Bible, enjoyed fishing and walking in the woods to his favorite log to pray. He was retired from Mt. Pleasant Transfer where he worked for 41 years.

Survived by his Brother: Billy (LaNelle) Roberts; Sisters: Betty June (James) Coleman and Peggy Way; Daughters: Pam (Jim) Seale of Summertown and Benida (Tim) Oliver of Columbia; Grandchildren: Jessica Seale, Joshua (Lori) Seale, Katie Seale, all of Summertown, April Farmer of Knoxville, Christina Roberts of Ohio, Heather (Darren) Pipe of England and Raegan Oliver of Summertown; Great Grandchildren: Caleb Farmer, Abriana Farmer, Grayson Roberts, Xander Roberts, Callen Seale, Ethan Pipe, Eliza Pipe and Ebony Pipe, Rylee Roberts and Avery Roberts; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Wife: Gloria Smith Roberts, whom he lovingly referred to as his “Super Queen”; Brothers: Earl Roberts Jr., Bobby Roberts, Thomas Roberts and JV Roberts; his Son: Kevin Roberts and Grandson: Nicky Roberts.

The family will visit with friends on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TN. A Service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 1:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Larry Spears officiating. Entombment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Pallbearers: Jim Seale, Joshua Seale, Tim Oliver, Johnny Butler, Keith Perry, Don Hall, Rod Green and Don Risner.

Honorary Pallbearers: his lifelong friend Ray O’Neal, his nieces and nephews, Mike Wade, Steve Wade, Chris Hannah, Michael Hannah and Robby Hannah.

Special Thanks to Kristy Hayes, Katelyn Carroll, Lisa Allen, Shelby Ferguson, Christin Wallace, Tina Boyd, Jessica Goodwin, Blythe Myhan and Pastor Mike Pennock from Unity Hospice.
