Mrs. Catherine Jeanette Mankins, age 86 of Lester, AL passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Mankins was born on July 15, 1931 in Limestone County to Edgar and Lillian Fain Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Mankins; son, Wayne Mankins; sisters, Robbie Nell Swanner, Jalena Holmes and Elaine Mashburn; brothers, Bill Davis, John Calvin (J.C.) Davis and Bobby Davis.
Mrs. Mankins is survived by a son, Dan Mankins (Becky); grandchildren, Caylee Mankins, Brody Mankins and Izla Mankins; brother, Harold Davis and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mankins was a member of Craig’s Chapel Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was the owner and stylist of Jeanette’s Beauty Shop of Lester, AL. Mrs. Mankins spent her entire life serving others.
Services for Mrs. Mankins will be 3:00PM Monday, December 4, 2017 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mike Johnson and Mark Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:45PM prior to service. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
