Carl Edward Hall – Obituary

Carl Edward Hall, 87, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017. His funeral service will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the McConnell Funeral Home chapel in Athens with the Rev. Mike Green officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon until 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hall was a native of Florence and graduate of Coffee High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW and AMVETS. He earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama and retired from NASA after a long career at Marshall Space Flight Center. He was a faithful member of Round Island Baptist Church.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 57 years, Effie Graves Hall; son, John D. Hall and wife, Karen, of Madison; grandsons, Andrew, Philip and Daniel Hall; and sister, Ann Scott, of Florence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil F. (Jew) and Lorene Hall, and brother, William T. Hall.
