Charles Kenneth Lindsey – Obituary

Charles Kenneth Lindsey, 83, of Lawrence County, passed away on November 28, 2017. He was born in the Enon community of Lawrence County to parents, Herman Lindsey and Mattie Owens Lindsey. Kenneth was a graduate of Speake High School. He later enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. After leaving the service, he was self-employed for over 50 years with cattle, land development, auto auction, auto sales and drag racing. He was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge No. 542. Kenneth lived life to the fullest and he will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mattie Lindsey; and brothers, Dale and Don Lindsey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Puckett Harton Lindsey; son, James Howard Harton; daughter, Jennifer Harton Woods (Darren); grandchildren, James-Kenneth Harton (Deborah), Joseph Harton, Lindsey Woods (Jo) and Krystle Woods Robinson (Clay); great-grandchildren, James Elijah Harton, Chelsey and Briley Woods; a niece and several nephews.

His visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, at Roselawn Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m. with his funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Brother Donnie McDonald is officiating. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
