Thomas Marona, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2017. Thomas owned a sanitation service for 35 plus years. He was a loving, caring, and hard-working man. He always met friends, never a stranger. He cared for everyone. He and his wife loved many and were loved by many.
Mr. Marona’s visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 2, from noon-2 p.m. with a graveside immediately following at New Hope Cemetery. James Waddell and David Lamar will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Brown, Aaron Lee, Robert Higgs, Zachery Hoffman, Ricky Richardson, Billy Carwille, and honorary, Howard Peden.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jackson Marona; son, Thomas Marona; mother, Martha Hendrix; father, Franklin Marona; stepfather, Henry Hendrix; and brother, John Marona.
He is survived by daughter, Tammy (Mike) Gurley; grandchildren, Brittany (Aaron) Lee, Daniel (Brook) Brown, and Blake Marona; great-grandsons, Ethan and Moses Lee; sister, Mary Ann (Hershel) Favors; brother, James (Diane) Peden; two nieces; five nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
