William Delbert Johnston – Obituary

William Delbert Johnston, age 77, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at J W Sommer Rehab after an extended illness. He was a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, a retired butcher, and a member of Peppertown Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 1 p.m. WL Wallace and Joel Wallace will be officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Survivors are wife, Shirley Gray Johnston, Lexington, Alabama; three sons, Freddie Johnston, Lexington, Alabama, Terry Johnston, Loretto, Tennessee, and Wade Johnston, Greenhill, Alabama; two daughters, Bridgett Johnston (Colin), Florence, Alabama, and Denise Johnston, Lexington, Alabama; two brothers, Leeland Johnston, Centerhill, Alabama, and Dois Johnston, Centerhill, Alabama; three sisters, Faye Jones, Lexington, Alabama, Margaret Pettus, Lexington, Alabama, and Mary Elizabeth Davis, Florence, Alabama; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Will Armstrong, Kenny Springer, Randy Johnston, Patrick Hubbert, Tyson Johnston, and Paul Carlock Jr.

Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements, 931-853-6995.
