Norman Lee King – Obituary

Mr. Norman Lee King, 78, passed away Wednesday November 29, 2017 at his home. He was born in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee on January 31, 1939 to Frank C. King and Elizabeth Bess King who preceded him in death along with his grandson, Travis King; sisters, Euphema Barks and Quanita Faye King; brothers, Leroy Venus (L.V.) King and Dwight King.

He was a craftsman specializing in Indian Art and had worked in the Timber business most of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annie Mae Tate King; sons, Timmy, Anthony, Norman, Chris and Ben (Kim) King; brothers, Lynn (Dana), Hugh Gerald (Jackie) and Jerry King; sisters, Brenda (A.C.) Forsyth, Diane (Robin) Smartt and Linda (Barry) Campbell; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Bud Whitman and Wayne Norris officiating with burial to follow in the Bess-Whitman-King Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
