Joe Edwin Starkey Jr., 75, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday night, Nov 26, 2017 at 8:05 pm. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Edwin Starkey Sr., his mother, Vernell Mann Starkey and his daughter, Joanna Ellen Starkey.
His surviving family is his wife, Lizette Tindal Starkey; sister, Linda Starkey Donaldson; daughter, Jennifer Starkey Cagle (Terry Lee Cagle); grandchildren, Dustin Nathaniel Adair, Joy Ellen Adair Lamb (Josh Edward Lamb) and Melody Grace Adair; and great-grandchildren, Grace Ann Lamb, Evelyn Faith Lamb and Ryder Nathaniel Lamb.
He was employed at AT&T 34 years and worked his own hay farm for more than 30 years with his beloved wife in Oneonta AL. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and Christian. He is greatly loved and will be missed.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Bill Barnett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Hill Baptist Church building fund in Oneonta, AL.
