A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home for Paul Huffman Balch, 72, of Hartselle.
Mr. Balch died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017. He was born May 30, 1945, in Limestone County to Hezekiah Eugene Balch and Cecil Earline Travis Balch. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving two tours. He was a graduate of the Morgan County High School Class of 1964 and was a registered nurse and a college nursing instructor for the Nashville State College. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Edd Balch, Sheila Jones, Bartley “Boots” Balch and Alma Jean Balch.
Survivors include one brother, Robert Balch (Henrietta), Decatur; and two sisters, Anita Halbrooks (Tommy), Vinemont and Mary Elliott, Hartselle.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to “The Edd Balch Scholarship Fund,” c/o Peoples Bank, 501 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640.
