Betty Lou Jackson – Obituary

Betty Lou Jackson, 79-years-old, passed away Nov. 23, 2017, at her residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, from noon until 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama. The funeral service will follow Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Jack Henson officiating. Burial will be at Duncan Creek Cemetery.

Betty was born April 30, 1938, in Franklin County, Alabama to Robert and Doshie Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie C. Jackson; her brother, James W. Williams; her sister, Doris Quillen; her sons, Rickey Hamilton and David Hamilton; her daughter, Linda Hatton; and her grandson, Waymon Hatton.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughters, Darlene Duncan (Gary), Lisa Washington (Keith), and Tracey Hamilton; her sons, Wiley Hamilton (Cindy), Rickey Jackson (Marsha), and Jimmy Jackson; her daughters-in-law, Darlene Hamilton Walbaum and Candae Hamilton; her son-in-law, Doug Hatton; her sisters, Mary Holden and Barbara Pace (Alfred); 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.

Family would like to extend a special thanks to Kindred Hospice for the loving care that was shown to their mother.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
