Funeral services for Mr. Joe Franklin Britt, age 79 are scheduled for 2 PM on Sunday November 26, 2017 at House of Worship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Fate Britt, Bro. Jeff Todd, and Bro. Zack Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Joe passed away on Friday November 24, 2017 at his home in Lexington, with his loving family by his side. He was born October 19, 1938 in Henderson County, TN to the late Joe Virgil Britt and Naomi Crider Britt. He was a retired Tool and Die Supervisor from Volvo Penta. He was a member of House of Worship Missionary Baptist Church, loved teaching his Sunday School class, served as a Deacon for 30 plus years at Chapel Hill Baptist Church and was a Godly and humble man. Mr. Joe enjoyed working in his shop, making toys and metal work. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Gene Britt, brother, Jerry Britt, and granddaughter, Ashley Denise Todd. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Patricia Adcox Britt, daughter, Tammie Britt Todd (Bro. Jeff Todd), brother, Dennis Britt (Caffie), two sisters; Irene Crowe (David) and Linda Dennison, 2 grandchildren; April Carter (Chris) and Zack Todd (Michelle) and 5 great grandchildren; Alaina, Dalton and Jacob Carter, and Maddox and Jimmy Todd.
