Thomas “Tommy” Maurice Brown, 78 of State Center, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at State Center Specialty Care.

Graveside service for Mr. Brown will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Falkville City Cemetery. Following the service a gathering for family and friends will be held at the Cullman Commission on Aging Senior Center at Sportsman Lake Park in Cullman, Alabama.

Tommy Brown was born on Sept. 16, 1939, in Falkville to Walter M. and Ruby L. Blackwood Brown. Mr. Brown served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. On Nov. 30, 2002, Brown was united in marriage to Beth Henze at St. Paul Lutheran Church in State Center. He retired from truck driving after 56 years and had also been a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed Alabama football “Roll Tide,” camping and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of almost 15 years, Beth; children, Terry (Dean) Maddox of Falkville and Perry Brown of Cullman; grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley) Dover of Logan, Alabama, Tabatha (Justin) Veal of Falkville and Jake (Nissa) Dover of Falkville as well as six great-grandchildren.
