Jack Lee Dempsey – Obituary

Jack Lee Dempsey, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Courtyards in Fulton. Jack was born March 7, 1945 in Breese, IL, the son of William and Wilma Farley Dempsey. He worked as a truck driver for Action Industries for many years. He was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church in Memphis and enjoyed anything to do with cars.

Services will be 2 PM Saturday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Larry Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Jack leaves behind his wife Shelia Dempsey of Fulton; two daughters, Mary Ruth Wright (Tommy) of Tupelo and Nancy Jo Thompson (Blake) of Raleigh, NC; three sisters, Sharon Brookins of Tupelo, Barbara Sue Weaver of Dallas, TX, and June Dempsey of Apache Junction, AZ; three brothers, Danny Dempsey, Tim Dempsey, and Tommy Dempsey, all of Tupelo; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Sherman Dempsey Jr.

Pallbearers will beTodd Wicker, Jon Wicker, Daniel Dempsey, Will Dempsey, Bobby Ainsworth, and William Brookins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
