Judith “Judy” K. Lipp Davidson – Obituary

Mrs. Judith “Judy” K. Lipp Davidson, age 66, wife of Mike Davidson and a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017at Maury Regional Medical Center.

 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1PM at Parkway Baptist Church with Mike Roberts officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 6 – 8PM and again on Saturday from 11AM – 1PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on July 17, 1951 in Defiance, Ohio, Judith was the daughter of the late John Henry Lipp, Jr. and the late Betty Lou Wissler Lipp. She previously worked as a dispatcher for the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office before working as a bookkeeper for Hammersmith Trucking Company in Ohio and later working as a waitress from Kettenring Country Club in Ohio. She married Mike Davidson on August 19, 1978. Judith was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and a long time member of the Parkway Bowling League. Besides her work as a housewife, she was excellent at crocheting and knitting. She had a keen sense of humor and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

 

In addition to her husband, Mike of 39 years, she is survived by her children: Jennifer Jane Hanna (Tom) Murray of Jacksonville, FL; Jacqueline Joy Hanna (Theron) Oliver of Columbia, John M. (Leslie) Davidson of Thompsons Station; brothers: Bruce E. Lipp of Edgerton, OH, Monte (Kim) Lipp of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren: Anastasia Oliver, Jasmyn Oliver, Mackenzie Richmond, Henley Davidson, Townsend Davidson, Michael Murray; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Julia Dawn Lipp.
