James Thomas Taylor – Obituary

James Thomas Taylor, age 84, of Florence, formerly of Scottsboro, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Stanley Ewing, Terry Parker, Landon McDaniel, Michael Henderson, Cole Stengel, and Roy Shedd. Honorary pallbearer is David James Young.

He was a member of Living Word Church in Scottsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Voit and Lula Taylor; brothers, Murphy Wallace Taylor and Clayton William Taylor; son-in-law, David R. “Smiley” Young; and grandson, Clint Matthew Anderson;

Survivors are his wife, Onella Taylor; daughters, Desiree Taylor Anderson (Robert) and Donna Young McDaniel (Billy); sister, Edith Ruth Daniel (Shirley); grandchildren, Ali McCoy Stengel (Cole), Aimee Marie Young, David James Young, Landon Michael McDaniel, and Amelia Alexandria McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Grant McCoy, Lily Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Luke Stengel, Emma Stengel, Ally Stengel, Haley Cochran, and Zoie McDaniel.
