Mary Josephine Gibson Landers – Obituary

Mary Josephine Gibson Landers, 91, devoted wife of the late Finis Mark “Pud” Landers, Jr., for sixty-eight years and a former resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017.

A private family graveside service will be held at Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka with Rev. Jeff Kane officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Mike) Tapp of Franklin; son, Mark (Carlene) Landers, III of Columbia; grandchildren, Tracy LeAnn Landers of Murfreesboro; Michael Brian (Jennifer) Tapp of Franklin; step grandchildren, Jesse Hughes, Carly (Zach) Burton, Precinda Jo Mendes, Joseph M. Mendes (Katy Dickinson), all of Culleoka; and great grandchild, Huston Tripp Hughes.

Pallbearers will be Brian Tapp, JoJo Mendes, Jesse Hughes, and Zach Burton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents William Isaac Gibson and Lacy Lee Lowrance Gibson; sister, Jewell Gibson of Columbia; and two brothers, Lawrence Gibson of Clarksville and Leonard Gibson of Culleoka.
