Linda Britnell Martin, age 70, Russellville, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her residence.
Linda was the most amazing woman, mother, and friend to everyone she met. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to be a helping hand to everyone. The visitation will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating the service will be Bro. Lymann Rea. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Martin; parents, Leon & Alma (Rea) Britnell; and brother, Rusty Britnell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her significant other and companion, Harry Trapp; children, Edward Gandy, Donna Rollins, Michelle Carter (fiancé, Bill Wise), Larry Carter, Mary Braley (fiancé, Darryl); grandchildren, Jessie, James, Heather, Jarrod, Justin, Nicholas, Kadence, Kristen, Sean, Hayden, Kim, Dustin; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Pam Churchwell, Tony Britnell, Ricky Britnell, Roy Britnell; and a host of nieces & nephews and friends.
The pallbearers will be Jarrod Seay, Justin Prescott, Nicholas Prescott, William Trapp, Anthony Britnell, and Johnny Williams.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Keller Hospice, our nurse, Melinda Smith, Dr. Holden and his staff, and the doctors, nurses, and staff of NW Alabama Cancer Center for your love and care of our family.
