Shooting In Athens…One Injured

ATHENS-The Athens Police responded to a shooting in the evening of Wednesday, November 15.  An arrest has ot been made in this case pending more investigation:

“Last night around 6:00 the police department responded to the 2100 block of Levert Avenue on a shooting call. Lt. Charlie Clem responded and located a 29 year old male that had been shot.

The victim was treated by Athens Limestone Ambulance paramedics and later flown by Med-Flight to Huntsville Hospital.

Investigators have interviewed several witnesses and a suspect in the case.

At this time we have not made an arrest. Investigators are currently attempting to interview the victim. I’m unable to release any more information about this case at this point.”
