David, Linda and family. Aunt Opal’s passing reminds me of how fragile life can be. I took it for granted that she would always be with us, that I would always get a birthday and Christmas card from her with a post note telling me she looked forward to a visit from me. She made me feel special, especially after mom and dad and all my siblings passed. She understood. I am going to miss her, her wit and quick comebacks for my teasing her. In the days to come think on the wonderful memories and family times you all shared together. How fortunate we are to have had her with us those years. I know she is happy being reunited with all the loved ones gone before her. You all are in my thoughts and continued prayers.

**Aunt Opal, thaw out that chicken for your reunion** (a joke between she and I)

My Aunt Opal: kind, gracious, beautiful, fun, and sharp as a tack. I remember on one overnight visit she made me popcorn and let me stay up late to watch Shock Theater (a local horror movie program on Saturday nights in Huntsville in the 60s and 70s).

She now dances with the stars.

Love and condolences to my cousins in the Brooks, Adams, and Pack families.
