Lynn “Bunten” Black Jackson, 79 of Arab, died Sunday November 12, 2017 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Jackson was born February 16, 1938 in Morgan County to Carl Edward Abercrombie and Mary Emma Bramlett Abercrombie. She was a housewife. Her first husband Welmer Black preceded her in death April 12, 1995. She later married John Jackson; he preceded her in death November 27, 2016. She enjoyed reading and shopping.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Stanley H. Black and Carmon, Scott Black and Alisa and Stewart Black and Trish; her daughter and son-in-law: Susan Bodkin and Joseph; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law: Gary Mac Abercrombie and Ausy, and her sister and brother-in-law: Carlene Malone and Curtis. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Welmer Black and John Jackson and her parents: Carl and Mary Abercrombie and her brothers and sister: Ray Abercrombie, Jay Abercrombie, Inalee Parker and Wynell Owen.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 14, 2017 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Brothers: Eldridge Criscoe and Jamey Pruett, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Black, Scott Black, Stewart Black, Brandon Bodkin, Brad Bodkin and Derrick Black.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 14, 2017 at the church prior to the service.
