Wayne Humphries – Obituary

Wayne Humphries, 84 of Arab died Friday November 10, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Humphries was born November 2, 1933 in Morgan County to Walter Miles Humphries and Lorena Goodlett Humphries. He was a 1952 graduate of Fairview High School and worked in construction as a home builder until his retirement. He and the former Janese Shedd were married for 65 years. He enjoyed playing Rook, traveling, watching T.V. and Alabama Football.
He was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Humphries is survived by his wife Janese Shedd Humphries; his son and daughter-in-law: Rickey Humphries and Jan; his daughter: Rita Humphries Chambers; his grandchildren: Shannon Jones and Jessie, Franklin Humphries and Tabitha and Cody Chambers; his great grandchildren: Mikalah Rhodes, Dylan Rhodes and Zila Lindsey; his brother: Lyndell “Mike” Humphries. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter Miles and Lorena Humphries and his sisters: Elna Stone, Francis Ross and Kathleen Warren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday November 13, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Frank Whitaker and Katina Shadden, officiating. Burial will be in Ryan Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday November 12, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
