Martha Jean White – Obituary

Martha Jean White, 74, died Thursday, November 9, 2017, at The Meadows. She was born July 21, 1943, to A.K. and Vadis Stacy Franks. She was a life- long member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from Super Sagless after 35 years. She enjoyed sitting outdoors and she especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Lindsey and Bro. Blake Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include four children, Barry White (Lisa), Perry White, Tami Rogers (Tracy), and Polly Jones (Scottie); one brother, Jimmy Franks of Tupelo; two sisters, Helen Leathers and Virginia Blalock, both of Mantachie; six grandchildren, Cody, Blake, Montana, Dakota, Carolyna, and Austin; two great grandchildren, Rosie and Jayden; two step great-grandchildren, Anna and Eli.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Argus White, who died April 8, 2017; one grandson, Aaron Cole Rogers; her twin brother, Junior Franks; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Terry Blalock, T.J. Blalock, Kaleb Felks, Alan Sheffield, and Michael “Jay Bird” Dill, Stacy Franks, and Mitchell Franks.

Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p. m. Friday at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
