Castor W. Buse – Obituary

Bro. Castor W. Buse, 84, died Tuesday, November 7, at his son’s home. He was born December 6, 1932 to Jessie and Minnie Bell Buse. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the 3rd infantry division during the Korean War. He worked at Ingalls Shipyard, American Motors, and Malone & Hyde, but was most known for his 53 years in the Ministry. He was a Master Mason, 32nd degree Scottish Rites, and a member of the Oak Grove Lodge. He enjoyed collecting knives and guns.

Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Frankie Smith and Bro. Bill Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Terry Buse (Carrie); one brother, Jerry Buse (Patti); both of Mantachie; one son-in-law, Jerry Spradling of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Jordan Buse, Dustin Buse, Shelby Eldridge, Joey Eldridge (Carissa), and Kirsten Morgan; four great grandchildren, Maciah Morgan, Elijah Morgan, Zane Eldridge, and Rylan Estes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Lee Buse; two daughters, Laurie Ann Buse and Tammy Spradling; one grandson, Casey Spradling; one granddaughter, Jessica Buse; two brothers, Tommy Buse and Shirley Buse; one sister, Charlie Mae Lamb; and his parents.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Buse, Jeff Buse, Matthew Buse, Chris Buse, Jeff Cooley, and Derrick Guntharp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Guntharp, Randy Guntharp, Jamie Guntharp, Ronnie Cooley, and Steve Cooley.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregiver, Jada Hill, and Homecare Hospice.

Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p. m. Thursday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Broken Lives Ministry. 3019 Hwy. 178, Tupelo, MS 38804.
