Jeffrey Chester Childers – Obituary

Jeffrey Chester Childers,43, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Marion County, Al. He was born October 12, 1968 in Red Bay, Al. and was a supervisor at Tiffin Motor Homes. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, a pee wee football coach and little league baseball coach for his son, Austin’s team.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, at Liberty Baptist Church, Vina, Al. with Bro. Marshall Emerson and Bro. Greg Philamlee officiating. Burial will be in Newburg Cemetery, Marion County, Vina, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are one son – Austin Childers, Vina, Al.; his father – Henry Chester Childers, Bull Mountain, Al.; his mother – Judy Watson (Harold) Vina, Al.; two sisters – Jennifer Watson and Hashu Watson, both of Vina, Al.; Austin’s mother – Gena Childers, Vina, Al. and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Chester Childers, Gwendalee Shotts Childers,  Doc Feltman and Versie Feltman and two uncles, Johny Wayne Childers and Wesley Feltman.

Pallbearers will be Ken Smith, Craig Smith, Brennan Smith, Dylan Smith, Russell Davis, Terry Swinney, Kevin Murray and Terry Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be the pee wee football team.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday, September 14, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. He will lie in state 9-11 a.m. on Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church.
