James Vuin Beam – Obituary

James Vuin Beam, 94, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Mississippi and was a farmer for seventy-five years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Golden, MS.

Services will be Wednesday, November 1, 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Golden, MS with Bro. Jimmy Sartin and Bro. Gary Beam officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Golden, MS.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by two sons – Johnny Beam (Brenda L.) Golden, MS and Robert Beam (Brenda G.) Red Bay, AL; two granddaughters – Amanda Lynch (Anthony) and Tiffany Stone (Billy); three great-grandsons – Hunter and Kyler Lynch and Brayden Stone; one step-great-grandson – Steven Stone; two sisters – Mauree Embrey and June Embrey and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hammock Beam, his parents, Delmer Beam and Pearl Smith Beam, five brothers, Bill Beam, Lawford Beam, Larry Beam, Leaburn Beam, Leonard Beam and a sister, Geraldine Beam.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Beam, Terry Beam, Oneal Hammock, Leamon Lindsey, Wilbur McKinney and Donald Deaton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 31, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL and he will lie in state Wednesday, November 1, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the church.
