Mary Myrtle Wales, 97 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the home of her daughter.
Born Wednesday, September 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William Elbert Hargrove and the late Mary Eula Martin Hargrove. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and always read her Bible Daily. She loved to work and shop and especially enjoyed taking time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren.
Surviving are son, Fred (Martha) Wales of Elkmont, AL, daughter, Sarah Dean Ikard of Elkmont, AL, grandchildren: Jeff (Connie) Wales, Jennifer (Brian) Wales Reece, Mike (Sirena) Ikard, great-grandchildren: Blake (Jessica)Wales, Preston Ikard, Payton, Ikard, and Kassie (Caleb) Ryan, and great-great-grandchildren: Alyzea Wales, Braylee Wales, Lukas Wales, and Adaline Ryan.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Mike Lovell officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
