Freda Mae Stanford, 77 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Monday, October 23, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Trinity, Alabama.
Born Thursday, July 4, 1940 in Moulton, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Julian Pitt and the late Evelyn Little Pitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Wayne Stanford, daughter, Donna Dunn, sister, Ruth Moore, and brother, OJ Pitt, She loved working with and showing horses and she especially loved her family and friends.
Surviving are son, Marcus (Vanessa) Stanford of Elkmont, AL, daughter, Bonnie McGennis and husband Douglas Robbins of Trinity, AL, sisters, Edna Hardin of Falkville, AL and Kathleen Darnell of Decatur, AL. grandchildren, Stephanie Harkey, Christopher (Argenia) McGennis, Dani (Matt) Tribble, Alyssa Stanford and four greatgrandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Rev. Cecil Norman and Rev. Donald Terry officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon up until time of service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
