Norman Otis Bartlett – Obituary

Norman Otis Bartlett, 75 of Addison, left his earthly home on October 23, 2017 in Addison.

He was born on May 4, 1942 in Winston County, Alabama to Arvil and Ozell. He married Glema Joyce (Shirley) Raines.  They were married for 25 years. Following her death, he married Louise Hampton.  They were married for 29 years. Norman was truly the perfect example of a patriarch. He spent most of his life providing for his family who loved him dearly. Coon hunting was his favorite hobby. Norman was inducted into the Alabama State Coon Hunters Hall of Fame and took pride in raising national ranking coon hunting dogs.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 12-2pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where services will be held at 2pm. Brother Kenny Suddath, Brother Aaron Gann and Abe Rooks will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Norman is survived by his sons, Gary (Jerri) Bartlett, Wayne (Brenda) Bartlett, Jeff (Rita) Bartlett, Shannon Bartlett; daughters, Norman Jean Bartlett, Brenda Kay Bartlett,  Laronda (Ira) Hill; stepchildren, Dewayne (Shawna) Hampton and Kathy (Roger) Porter12 grandchildren, Chris Porter,  David Porter,  Maria (Tony) Letsinger, Ory (Kassidy) Hampton,  Jennifer (Abe) Rooks,  Megan (Aaron) Welch, Whitley (Alan) Mcnew, Ross (Blair) Hampton, Matthew Bartlett, Kelsey Bartlett, Karli, Bartlett, Kaylee Bartlett;  11 great grandchildren, Dillian Letsinger, Julian Letsinger, Tristan Letsinger, Connor Porter, Hunter Patrum, Hadley Welch, Bentley Rooks, Cooper Rooks, Brexley Mcnew, Pippa Mcnew, Chasen Hampton; brothers, Dee Bartlett, Dale Bartlettm Chuck Bartlett, Benny Ray Bartlett, Terry Eddy; sisters, Sheila, Gail, Barbara Ann, and Janice.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glema Joyce (Shirley) Raines, second wife, Louise Hampton Bartlett; daughter, Kristy Bartlett; parents, Arvil Bartlett and Ozell Eddy; sister, Kathy Walden; and brother, Bobby Walden.
