Karen Marie Perleberg Davenport – Obituary

Karen Marie Perleberg Davenport, 71, Tuscumbia, AL passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ted Vafeas officiating the service at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Karen was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Everett High School in 1964 and retired as a transcriptionist at Helen Keller Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abbie and Gloria Perleberg; and father-in-law, Robert Lee Davenport and very special mother-in-law, Earlie Davenport; and several uncles and a niece.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Hershel L. Davenport; daughter, Jennifer L. Davenport Flannagan; special son-in-law, Jamie Flannagan; brothers, Garl Perleberg (Pam) Lake Isabella, MI, Dale Perleberg (Stephanie) of Johns Creek, Georgia, and Kurt Perleberg (Mardi) of Lansing, MI; her only grandchild “The light of her life”, Zoe` Grace Flannagan; sisters-in-law, Evon Rutland, Marie Weems, and Stella (Ed) Bullion; step- daughter, Kelly Brooks and children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tod Perleberg, James Weems, Michael Bullion, Jake Flannagan, Jerry Murdock, and Darell Wayne Johnson.
