Dorothy Exine Richardson Dickerson English – Obituary

Dorothy Exine Richardson Dickerson English, 93, went to Heaven on Oct. 15, 2017. Mrs. English was a member of the Eastern Star and member of Gray’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was a retired LPN nurse who spent her entire life taking care of others. Exine, above all, cherished her family and her faith in God.

Mrs. English is survived by sons, Charles Dickerson and Gary Dickerson (Wanda); daughter, Dorothy Gamble (Leroy); stepsons, Terry English (Dian) and Trent English (Peggy); stepdaughters, Norma Belcher (Cliff) and Levitia Johnston (Larry); sister, Jeanette Soehn (Richard); host of nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Fay Dickerson; husband, Martin English; brothers, Elmer Richardson, William Richardson, and Hugh Richardson Jr.; stepchildren, Mike and Diane Cox; parents, Hugh and Tessie Behel Richardson; and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, from noon-2 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mike Nabors officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Tim Mitchel, Steve Newbern, Keith Dickerson, Mike Walker, Leroy Gamble Jr., and Reggie Gamble.

Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
