Richard Milton Brock – Obituary

Richard Milton Brock, 81, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017. His visitation will be Tuesday, October 17th, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Timmy Ray and Eddie Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Brock was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church and an ordained Baptist minister. He retired from T.V.A. as an electrician. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #503 and IBEW # 558. He was a 1954 graduate of Colbert County High School and later attended Florence State Teacher’s College. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Effie Brock; three brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Robinson Brock; daughter, Gerri Brock Seal (Gary); sons, Harold Brock and Bradley Brock (Christy); grandchildren, Katie Seal Mifflin (Bradley), Anna Seal, Penny Sue Bechthold (Brad), Mindi Brock, Maribelle Brock, and Jonah Brock; four great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Brock; sisters, Sadie Goodwin and Doris Brock; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Roger Balentine, Jerry Plaxco, Don Walker, David Branscome, Gary Seal, and Eddie Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School Class and Deacons at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church.

The family expresses special thanks to the doctors and staff of ECM Hospital, Dr. Brad McAnally for his loving care, and to all his church family for their prayer and support.
