James T. Dillard – Obituary

James T. Dillard, 78, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at The Meadows, Fulton, MS. He was born in Tuscaloosa Co., AL and was a factory worker in mobile home manufacturing for thirty-one years. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.

Services will be Wednesday, October 11, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Billy Nichols and Bro. Ronald Dillard officiating.  Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his wife – Doris Dillard, Red Bay, AL; two sons – Rodney Dillard and Ronald Dillard (Amy) all of Hamilton, AL; one step-son – Tim Massey (Lisa) Vina, AL; one step-daughter – Charlotte Cromeans (Junior) Golden, MS; grandchildren – Mailey and Courtney Dillard, Steven and Kevin Cromeans, Jordan and Stephanie Massey and special grandchild and caregiver – Rachel Cromeans; three great-grandchildren – Carter Cromeans, Collin Cromeans and Braxton Massey; six brothers – Matt Dillard, James Clyde Dillard, Jimmy Dillard, Doc Dillard, Guy Dillard and Jack Dillard; two sisters – Gladys Irvin and Betty Newsome and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steven Cromeans, Kevin Cromeans, Junior Cromeans, Jordan Massey, Danny Dillard and Kevin Dillard.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL
