Barbara Sue Mauldin – Obituary

Barbara Sue Mauldin, 79, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at Sanctuary Hospice, Tupelo, MS. She was born in Alabama and was a factory worker for seventeen years. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ, Red Bay, AL.

Services will be Thursday, October 12, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are her husband – Kenneth Mauldin, Golden, MS; three children- Terry Elliott (Peggy) Red Bay, AL, Debbie Slayton (Ricky) and Lisa Mink, all of Belmont, MS; six grandchildren – Beau, Renee, Aimee, Jason, B.J. and Kayla; fourteen great-grandchildren; her mother-in-law – Annie Mae Mauldin and one brother – Bobby Askew (Pat) of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Elliott; her parents, Thomas Askew and Lucy Ogletree Askew and four brothers, Charles, James, Edmond and Bill Askew.

Pallbearers will be Beau Elliott, Jason Slayton, David Tiffin, Tim Mauldin, Chuck Hamm and Andy Elliott.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
