Jewel Mae Murphy Hogeland, 89, of Cherokee, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012. Her visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m., graveside, at Mynot Cemetery with Jonathan Handley officiating.
Mrs. Hogeland was a member of Asphalt Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert Hogeland, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, William A. Hogeland (Claudette) and Dwight David Hogeland (Donna); brother, the Rev. Perry Murphy; sister, Ruth Holt; grandchildren, Matthew Dane Hogeland, Bryan Christopher Hogeland, William Rodney Hogeland, David Hogeland, Darrin Hogeland and Dawn Hogeland Murph; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Morrison Funeral Home of Cherokee is directing.
