Harold Edwin “Skeeter” Comer – Obituary

Harold Edwin “Skeeter” Comer, 87, of Killen, AL, passed away October 5, 2017, at his home. Mr. Comer was a Christian and was retired from Reynolds Metal as a Crane Operator. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of IBEW Local 558.

Mr. Comer is survived by:
Daughters: Pam Summers and husband Jack
Cindy Mashburn and husband Andy
Grandchildren: Amber Cantrell (Scott), Justin Shelby (Carly), and Jacob Shelby
Step-Granddaughter: Hollie Garner (Mark)
Great-grandchildren: Emerson, Emma Kate, Cooper, Elizabeth, and Hayden
Step-Great-grandchildren: Summer and Nicolas
Best Friend for 83 years: Glenn McInnish

He was preceded in death by his wife Nadine Holden Comer, parents James Raymond Comer and Verda Mae Gilbert Comer, and by brother Overton Loyd (O.L.) Comer.

The funeral service will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home with David Rushlow officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andy Mashburn, Jack Summers, Justin Shelby, Jacob Shelby, Mike Thorn, and Scott Cantrell. Honorary pallbearer will be Glenn McInnish.

The family would like to thank Tiffany, Lisa, Michelle, Deb, Rob, and the staff of Hospice of The Shoals. The family would like to express appreciation to Cindy and Tina for helping us through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Of The Shoals.
