ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson reports a couple of arrests that took place on Saturday September 30 and Sunday, October 1:

Rohn Everett Pruett

“Yesterday afternoon the police department received a call of a stolen pickup truck at 512 South Clinton Street. Officer Chris Mardis responded to the call. While he was taking the report a friend of the victim stopped and told Mardis the tuck was at The U Wash on the corner of Forrest and Clinton Streets. Mardis traveled to The U Wash and located the 1987 Dodge truck in the parking lot. A short time later he arrested Rohn Everett Pruett for taking the truck. Pruett was charged with theft of property first degree; he was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.  The injuries are a result of a bicycle accident that occurred on Saturday.”

 

Gary Graham

“Gary Graham was arrested Saturday afternoon for burglary 3rd degree after the owner of a storage building saw Graham inside the building. Graham was in the building behind 112 MacArthur Drive. Graham had removed two chain saws and a chain from the building. Graham was booked at the police department and later transferred to the county jail.”
